Apart from existing ten branches
of engineering, the institute also boasts of a department of Applied Sciences
and Humanities. The department comprises of Departments of Geology, Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics and English. This department aids the institute by
carrying out researches in various fields of Physics and Chemistry. The highly
experienced and acclaimed professors of these disciplines impart education to
the students of all other streams. Their works are regularly published in
different science journals of international repute. They are frequently invited
as guest lecturers or otherwise in various institutes for delivering on their
research works.
