The Department of Mining Engineering was started in the year 1975. The department offers four years B.Tech degree course with an annual intake of 49 students.
The department has well equipped laboratories and state of the art facilities required for undergraduate teaching. Some of the important laboratories include: Mining Machinery Lab, Mine Ventilation & Environmental Lab, Rock Mechanics Lab, Mine Fire & Rescue Lab, Mine surveying Lab, Drilling Lab etc.
